The Czech Rocket Society is an independent association for university students who are passionate about astronautics and rockets, we provide a platform to apply our studies in practice, experiment, and test independently. Our comprehensive approach to rocketry and astronautics extends to the legal aspects surrounding rockets, educational events, and the organization of the Czech Rocket Challenge competition for high school students.
The founders of the CRS were inspired by similar student associations in England and the Netherlands, as they themselves study Aerospace Engineering. In both countries, those societies have a much longer tradition. These societies are usually directly linked to technical universities and technological companies that support them. Societies offer students their first touch with Aerospace engineering and then go on to real rocket and astronautical companies. At the same time, more and more rocket competitions emerging in which student societies compete against each other and slowly but surely come closer and closer to the space.
